Overview

Fegyvernek is a town in Törökszentmiklós district of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County, in the Northern Great Plain region of central Hungary.
Fegyvernek was named after the occupation of the armorers who once lived here. People lived in the area of the settlement as early as the Bronze Age, and finds from the Iron Age and Sarmatian eras have been found from later periods. In known written sources, the first encounter the name of the village comes from in 1212.
Fegyvernek was granted town status on 15 July 2013.

The Flag

Its flag is light blue charged with its coat of arms. Its ratio is 1:2.
The symbols of the town were adopted by Municipal Degree No. 8/1993. (IV.02.) on 02 April 1993.

City declaration flag

On the occasion of the city declaration, a white flag was made with the inscription "Fegyvernek város 2013" (Fegyvernek Town 2013). The borders of the flag are decorated with blue triangles (wolf-teeth).

The Coat of Arms

Its coat of arms is a blue shield charged with a silver armored right arm holding a sword. There is a golden heraldic rose with a red center in the center of the shield.
