Presentation of Trifylia

The municipality of Trifylia (27,373 inhabitants in 2011; 61,600 ha) was formed in the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities of Aetos (Αετός, 1,915 inh.), Avlonas (Αυλώνας, 1,922 inh.), Filiatra (Φιλιατρά, 7,514 inh.), Gargalianoi (Γαργαλιάνοι, 7,940 inh.), Kyparissia (Κυπαρισσία, 7,728 inh.), and Tripyla (Τριπύλα, 354 inh.).
