Presentation of Azara

Azara is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It has 167 inhabitants on 1,449 ha.

Description

Municipality of Azara in the Province of Huesca, Aragon, has its own symbols. The Government of Aragon authorize the Ayuntamiento de Azara to adopt a coat of arms and a flag on 03.04.2012.

• Coat of arms:
  A rectangular shield with a rounded base: Azure, a tall, truncated rock or stone, Argent, accompanied in the dexter chief canton by a Hospitaller cross and in the sinister by an eight-pointed star, Or. In base, the Royal Arms of Aragon, Or; four pallets Gules; crested with an open royal crown.
• Flag:
  Cloth of 2/3 proportion, formed by three horizontal stripes of the same width, separated from each other by a white border, the outer ones being blue and the central one being composed in turn of three other stripes, the outer ones being yellow and the central one being red, this one being half the width of the others.
