Abiego is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It has 259 inhabitants on 3,819 ha.

Municipality of Abiego in the Province of Huesca, Aragon, has its own symbols.

Decree 54/83 of June 13, authorizing the Abiego Town Council, in the province of Huesca, to adopt its municipal coat of arms.

The Abiego Town Council, in the Province of Huesca, deemed it appropriate to adopt its coat of arms in order to perpetuate, with suitable symbolism and in accordance with the rules of heraldry, the most relevant and distinctive events of its historical past. To this end, and in accordance with the powers conferred upon it by current legal provisions, it submitted the corresponding project and descriptive report for final approval.
The proceedings were conducted in accordance with the procedural rules established in the Local Government Act and the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Framework of Local Corporations. The Royal Academy of History issued its favorable report, suggesting the closed royal crown as the crest of the Coat of Arms, without, however, diminishing the proposal made by the Abiego Town Council that the crest could be the open royal crown, a proposal again confirmed by agreement of the Municipal Corporation in its session of April 13, 1983.
Therefore, at the proposal of the Councilor for the Presidency and Institutional Relations, and after deliberation by the General Council of Aragon in its meeting of June 13, 1983,
I hereby decree:
Sole Article.—The Abiego Town Council, in the Province of Huesca, is authorized to adopt its municipal coat of arms, which shall be organized in the following manner, in accordance with the opinion of the Royal Academy of History:

Shield
divided vertically: First quarter, azure, with five gold fleurs-de-lis; second quarter, gules, with two gold wolves passant vertically; and in escutcheon, or, three azure fesses. General border argent, bearing in sable letters the legend "Fiel Villa de Abiego" (Loyal Town of Abiego). Crest: open royal crown.

The flag adoption date is unknown. It is red - in nuances from burgundy, carmin, to purple, with the municipal coat of arms in the center.
