The municipality of Arauzo de Torre (91 inhabitants in 2010; 1,359 ha) is located in the south of the Province of Burgos, 100 km of Burgos.
Arauzo de Torre, named for a defence tower (torre), was part of the Jurisdicción of the Arauzo, which included the villages of Arauzo de Miel, Arauzo de Salce, Baños de Valdearados, Doña Santos, Espinosa de Cervera, Hinojar del Rey, Huerta de Rey, Quintanarraya, Tubilla del Lago, La Gallega, Valdeande, Jaramillo de la Fuente and Riocavado.

The flag of Arauzo de Torre is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 11
February 2011 by the Municipal Council, signed on 16 February 2011 by
the Mayor, and published on 28 February 2011 in the official gazette
of Castilla y León, No. 40, p. 14,662 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Flag with proportions 2:3, made of five horizontal stripes of respective colors: green, yellow, green, white and green, and of respective height: 1-1-4-1-1. On the central green stripe is placed a tower or masoned sable port and windows azure. The tower shall have an height of 80% of the central stripe's height.
Symbolism: The colors of the flag are those of the coat of arms: yellow-or, white-argent and green-vert. The arrangement of the stripes on the flag recalls the arrangement of the charges on the arms (in chief, sword, hoe and stars, all or; in base, a wave argent), yellow on top and white on bottom.
The flag was designed by the Commission of Institutional Relations of the Spanish Vexillological Society (Diario del Duero, 28 February 2011).
The coat of arms of Arauzo de Torre is prescribed by a Decree adopted
on 5 October 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 29 October 2001
by the Mayor, and published on 16 November 2001 in the official
gazette of Castilla y León, No. 223, p. 16,758 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Vert a tower or masoned sable port and windows azure, the chief cantonned with a hoe or and a sword of the same per saltire and two eight-pointed stars of the same, in base wavy argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
