The flag of the Rural Parish of Sidcay in the Canton of Cuenca is
horizontally divided blue over white over red, where blue, white, and red each
take 50%, 25%, and 25% of the flag's height respectively; the parish coat of arms
is overlaid on the white and blue stripes. Over the arms there is arched text
reading
"GOBIERNO PARROQUIAL" and text below reading "DE SIDCAY" in one line.
Originally, the flag was composed of stripes with equal height; these appear to mostly exist on indoor
variants of the flag now. These indoor variants have the text "DE SIDCAY" on the red; non-indoor flags have it on the white.

The flag of Sidcay was created by Dr. Santiago Londa Encalada during his presidency from 2000 to 2005. The tenure of Hernán Astudillo
from 2005 to 2009 saw blue being replaced with green. The flag stayed the same the next tenure; however, interestingly enough, Londa was re-elected
as the government's president again in 2014 and the flag he designed was re-established shortly after. Since then, the flag has stayed the same; however
the Ecuador-style flag appears to be a more recent creation.
