Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess; above showing a red, issuant, double-queued demi-lion, armed, tongued and crowned blue in a silver(=white) field; below showing thee golden(=yellow) upright fish in a blue field.
Meaning:
According to source the fish as a symbol for fisheries and riches of fish. The lion is representing the counts and dukes of Berg, the former rulers.The arms are based upon a seal of the village of Neunkirchen from 1556.
