Lauterbach Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, two knife blades addorsed Argent.
Meaning:
The municipal arms had been the family arms of the Barons, later Counts of Bissingen-Nippenburg, who had been local rulers since 1648 as vassals of the Dukes of Austria. Lauterbach belonged to the Lordship of Schramberg, which had been part of the Austrian County of Hohenberg until 1805, when the municipality became a possession of Württemberg. The blades sometimes are also denoted as scythe blades. The tinctures are those of the family arms of the counts. The blades appeared first in local seals, surrounded by crossed laurel wreaths.

The tinctures of municipal banner and arms had been proven first in 1935. They probably have never been approved officially.
