Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per pale of Gules and Argent, at sinister Azure a 5-point star Or in chief and a crescent recumbent reversed Or in base.
Meaning:
The village gained the rights of a market town in 1580 but had no proper arms until 1955. The municipality was formed by a merger of the independent villages of Münster and Hausen. Both had been fiefdoms of the Bishopric of Augsburg. The arms of the bishopric are depicted on the dexter half of the municipal arms. Star and crescent are taken from the arms of the Barons of Heidenheim, local rulers between 1660 and 1789, sometimes silver, sometimes golden and in different positions. The sinister half of the arms is also representing the many kins of noblemen since the 15th century, who ruled the village.
