Riegsee Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess wavy, above Argent a stag salient issuant Gules, beneath Azure a hayfork Or and a crozier Or in saltire.
Meaning:
The line of partition is alluding to the name giving Riegsee, a lake. The stag is taken from the family arms of the Knights of Hagen, who lived in the village from the 2nd half of the 12th century until 1525.The crozier is a differentiation of the arms of the Benediktbeuern Abbey, which displayed two crossed croziers. It is alluding to the monasteries being manorial lords in the past, especially Benediktbeuern, Habach, Ettal und Polling. The hayfork is symbolising agriculture.
