Meaning:
Viticulture had been an important business line since the 11th century. Thus symbols related to viticulture had been displayed on bells, the seals of the local reeves and since the 19th century on municipal seals. The latter displayed on two oval escutcheons, the grapevine and the plough share. The current arms are based on a suggestion of the General State Archive.
