Description of coat of arms:
The blue shield has a silver (=white) chief. A church is superimposing both parts. The church has silver (=white) columns, a blue roof and is topped by three crosses patty. In front is a golden (=yellow) inescutcheon showing a black, rampant lion, armed and tongued red.
Meaning:
The inescutcheon is alluding to the dukes of Jülich, the former rulers. The church probably is the image of a local building.
