The Republican Turkish Party (website) is a left party that was founded on 27 December 1970. After the partition of Cyprus in 1974, it continued its political life in Northern Cyprus. The party is known to have
alternative opinions to president Denktaş on the Cyprus issue. In
the elections of December 2003, the CTP had the largest portion of
the votes and participated to a coalition government founded with the
Democrat Party. As of January 2004, its leader Mehmet Ali Talat is the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The Republican Turkish Party (Cumhuriyetçi Türk Partisi, CTP) is a social-democratic political party in Northern Cyprus. Its ideology is based on social democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. It was founded in 1970 by Ahmet Mithat Berberoğlu. The party advocates for the reunification of Cyprus and supports a federal solution to the Cyprus problem, being involved in peace negotiations and efforts to resolve the conflict. CTP is a member of the Socialist International and the Party of European Socialists. The party has been a significant player in the politics of Northern Cyprus, often forming coalitions with other parties. CTP was in power from 2004 to 2010 under the presidency of Mehmet Ali Talat and has held the position of Prime Minister in various coalition governments between 2013 and 2019. It has a strong youth wing and emphasizes the importance of education and social justice.

The
party's symbol is a red carnation, representing socialism and solidarity.
The party's emblem is circular, it includes two yellow grain ears on the sides
and the letters "CTP" above "1970" (the year of the party's foundation) in the
center, written in black on a red background.
I do not know the date of the
change of the emblem but it probably took place between 2019 and October 2023
(date of publication on the party's website).
The party's flag has 3
horizontal stripes, red, white, red, with the emblem in the middle of the white
stripe which is larger.

The flag of the CTP has 2:3 proportions, a white circular background for the emblem and a green background and figures. I have seen similar flags in demonstrations before the elections.
The emblem of the party includes two green grain ears on
the sides and letters "CTP" and the foundation year of the party in the
center. There are also alternative versions where colors (green and
white) are reversed.
