Argent, a Milestone Sable masoned of the field between two Alders Vert all issuant from a base of the last.

The milestone would indicate that there was an important road passing through Fräschels, possibly in Roman times. Or, maybe there was some important border here – it may be that the milestone is in fact a border marker.
Željko Heimer, 18 November 2000

The blazon in German speaks of a Markstein for the black object on the banner of arms. This might well refer to a border mark of some sort.
Pascal Gross, 18 November 2000

[In the concrete sense "Markstein" means border mark. In a figurative sense it can also have the meaning of milestone. Of course we have the concrete sense of the word on emblems.]
