The Amicus Boat Club

The burgee of the Amicus Boat Club is depicted in Lloyd's Register of American Yachts for 1917. It doesn't seem to appear in either the 1906 or 1929 editions. The club, however, is not listed in the 1917 edition either.

The club is not mentioned very often on the Internet:
- Reading Eagle - Jan 15, 1880 - Fair for the benefit of the club.
- Reading Eagle - Jan 17, 1980 - 100 years ago.
- Brooklyn - March 12, 1914 - First annual dinner

Considering clubs usually have their first annual dinner less then a year after their foundation, the hits above would suggest history actually saw two Amicus Boat Clubs, with the once more or less contemporary with Lloyd's depiction of the burgee being the one from Brooklyn.

The burgee is depicted as a ca. 2:3 red burgee with a very dark blue fly diamond throughout, with a white capital centred in each of the panels, A over B before C.
