Flag

There is a gold and black flag on display at graduation, which is likely the institutional flag. I could not find a picture that showed any details, however.
Dave Fowler, 3 February 2020

The flag above may be the official flag of the college. It appears to have a gold field with black triangles in the upper hoist and lower fly corners that are composed by drawing a diagonal line from the midpoint along the hoist to the midpoint across the top, and from the midpoint along the fly to the midpoint across the bottom. Centered on the middle gold field is the college's seal in black and gold. This flag can be seen in the background behind the Commencement speakers in photographs from 2012 (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ce/2d/b0/ce2db023c07afb24272577543c7ac28f.jpg) and 2009 (https://sites.coloradocollege.edu/bulletin/wp-content/blogs.dir/281/files/2009/06/img_1106.jpg).

Additionally, during Commencement, there appears to be a tradition of lining the fence behind the speaker with banners representing each class that has graduated from Colorado College. The banners all have the same pattern: black with a gold border, the year the class graduated in the center in gold numbers (e.g. "2020" or "1977"), the word "COLORADO" arched above the class year in gold capital letters, and the word "COLLEGE" along the bottom of the banner, also in gold capital letters.

This flag uses the same central logo as the one above, but on a full black field. This flag can be seen being waved by supporters at a lacrosse game at https://www.coloradocollege.edu/photos/?id=6ba6d8a2-ca6f-40d2-977c-5a736f5dd6dd (photo at https://www.coloradocollege.edu).
