The Flag

The flag of the City of Troy, Michigan, was seen at the 2010 Michigan Municipal League convention. The parade of flags is documented at Flickr, including this flag: a blue flag charged with a white Hellenistic soldier under the arched words "TROY, MICHIGAN" and silver fringe: www.flickr.com/photos/michigancommunities/5017466520/, www.flickr.com/photos/michigancommunities/5016860261/

The image seem to be the same as here: www.troymi.gov/pics/athena.gif, where it is named Athena.

The image used on the flag of Troy is very detailed. Here's a large photo of the flag at a Michigan Municipal League conference in 2010: https://www.flickr.com/photos/michigancommunities/5016860261/

I don't think the version of the flag shown on Wikipedia is official. It has a simplified version of the image used on the police and fire department emblems (https://www.facebook.com/TroyMiPolice/photos/a.10152763959618309/10158551856578309) The color of the warrior is wrong, the typeface above her is wrong, and the motto has too many capital letters.
