Williamsburg, Mass., Town Flag To Be Hoisted Into Place In The Great Hall
NOV 6, 2018

Williamsburg, Massachusetts, will join communities from across the state when its town flag is hung in the Statehouse Great Hall. The multi-year process culminates with the raising of the flag on Wednesday for the town, which was incorporated in 1771. The town's flag committee created a draft of the design, which was then painted by an artist.

Town administrator Charlene Nardi said the painting was then "converted" into a fabric pattern, and sewn by volunteers. The designer of the flag said that it portrays all of Williamsburg’s beauty, showing flowers, hills, streams, and churches.

The slide show on this page shows a good image of the painting that became the flag. Also TV story about flag: https://www.wwlp.com/news/state-politics/new-williamsburg-flag-now-hangs-at-state-house/#
