Back in 2002, the Iowa State Association of Counties website hosted an account of each county's history, signed by its County Recorder, and illustrated with a black and white flag image. It is not clear whether these flag images were provided by the county administration or not.

Archived copies of the pages about Cedar Taylor are still at*/ and*/ It is a ~3:5 medium light flag with the lettering "Cedar" in capitals along the top, two lines reading "Birthplace of Herbert Hoover" and "31st President" along the bottom and centered on it in white (?) with black (?) details a view of the family cottage of Herbert Hoover (see also, in West Branch, a city mainly located in Cedar County.
