Description of the flag

"Sand City is in California on the Monterey Peninsula, between Marina/Fort Ord to the north; Monterey to the south; and Seaside to the east. Sand City can be accessed from Highway One. The City of Sand City is a well-kept secret. The town was incorporated in 1960 and currently has a very small, Mayberry-like population and lifestyle. If the Police Chief doesn't know your name, you are definitely a newcomer. The population was 261 at the 2000 census, and now is estimated at 310." - from official website: www.sandcity.org/

A white over yellow flag, 2:1, with the city seal (logo?) in the lower hoist, showing a coastal scene in blue lines and the city name written large over it. California is written in blue on the remainder of the yellow stripe.
