The flag of Göynük (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem in the middle. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The former flag of Göynük was white with the municipality's former emblem in the middle. "Belediye Başkanlığı" means "Municipality Presidency".

The emblem of the municipality features the Victory Tower (Zafer Kulesi) built in 1923 atop a hill dominating the town to commemorate the founding of the Republic (photo).
The former emblem of the town also features an old Ottoman house; Göynük is quite famous for its old mansions lined along the river (photos).
