Overview

Nordic Construction Company (NCC) was developed by a merger of Sweden's biggest building companies Armerad Betong Vägförbättringar (ABV) and Johnson Construction Company (JCC) in 1988. In 1997 NCC merged with the Swedish building company Siab AB. The roots of NCC go back to 1875, when its predecessor Nya Asfalt was established. Nowadays it is an international company with branches in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and St. Petersburg.
The best known buildings created by the company are Vasa-Museum, Kista Science Tower in Stockholm and Turning Torso in Malmö.
The company today has the following branches:

  • NCC Industry – [offers products and services related to road construction, such as sand, gravel and asphalt.]
  • NCC Building – building, renovation and restoration of residental, industrial and logistics real properties
  • NCC Infrastructure – building of bridges, tunnels, roads and railway networks
  • NCC Property Development – development and sale of real properties made by the NCC building branch.
The company has the legal form of a public limited company (PLC), a Swedish Aktiebolag (AB). The head office is in Solna near Stockholm
The flag is white with black serifed initials “NCC” and an irregular blue five point star consisting of a kind of arrow and two triangles.
