The Portuguese word of the society refers literally to ´friendship with doves´. Both variants of the flag are dark blue, in a blue annulet with golden inscription, inside part of the Portuguese flag (section with arms), over all a dove volant Argent (realised grey). The only difference is in the yellow inscription "FEDERAÇÃO PORTUGUESA COLUMBÓFILIA" (either above and below central charge (see left image above), or only on base the correct spelling "FEDERAÇÃO PORTUGUESA DE OLUMBOFILIA"(see right image above).
