Shield Or, base covered by a web Gules, in chief a L-shaped angle iron Sable garnished Argent flanked by two branches of olive Vert fruited Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VADE - S.TOMÉ"

Presentation of São Tomé de Vade

São Tomé de Vade Commune is one of the 17 communes of the Ponte da Barca municipality (q.v.); it had 287 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 1.5 km². This is one of the two communes making up the territory of Vade village and surrounding countryside, the other being Vade (São Pedro) Commune (St. Peter).
