Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Vert, St.Mary, in an aureole Or dressed Gules and Azure holding baby Jesus Christ in her arms, thw whole flanked by two corn cobs Or leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VÁLEGA"

Válega Commune is one of the five communes of the Ovar municipality; it had 6827 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 26.6 km².
