Coat of arms

Shield Azure, a cross Argent, flanked by an olive branch Argent fruited Or in dexter chief and three tied wheat ears Or in sinister chief. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "REMONDES".
Meaning:
The Portuguese blazon says "cruzeiro", among others also a big cross made of stone, here probably the top of a local church tower, consisting of an armillary sphere topped by a cross of the Knights of the Order of Christ. Many church towers e.g. in Madeira are also crowned this way.
