Coat of arms

[Vale Benfeito commune CoA] image by Sérgio Horta, 18 Apr 2016

The shield is Azure, four archeological daggerblades Or per pale set in cross with its piercings showing the field. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VALE BENFEITO". The scroll shape in local use is the most usual, as can be attested by this photo
Meaning:
"Vale benfeito", a contraction of "vale bem feito", means "fair valley" (lit. "well made valley", a slightly archaic turn-of-phrase): not canting.

That one does have the blue field showing in the black dots, but that's how it is: They look like black dots. Is there a way to let the black division lines be less dominant? Maybe draw them on the understanding that they’re part of the material, rather than of the hole?

Flag and arms approved by the communal parliament on 20 March 2009, published in the official journal Diário da República: II Série on 27 April 2009
