Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FIGUEIRA - LAMEGO"
Meaning:
The word "figueira" means "fig tree" and these arms are therefore canting. The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint. Sérgio Horta shows the staff of the labarum as golden — in what could be either a simple mistake or a descrepancy between the official blazon and the official illustration. Figueira was one of the 14 communes of Lamego Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 279 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 4,75 km².
