Shield Azure two barrulets wavy Argent, flanked on chief by a sword flamant Or in pale balancing a pair of scales of the same, on base by an anvil Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and long white scroll, as used by united communes, reading in black upper case serifed letters "JARMELO SÃO MIGUEL".
Meaning:
The barrulets represent the former Ribeira dos Carinhas Commune, the other charges are taken from the former arms of Jarmelo São Miguel.

Jarmelo São Miguel, also called São Miguel do Jarmelo is one of the 35 communes of Guarda Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 276 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 17,06 km².

Shield Or a bend sinister wavy Azure charged with a bundle sinister wavy Argent, on sinister chief three arrows Gules in fan tied Vert, on dexter base two Roman swords Gules in saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "RIBEIRA DOS CARINHOS".
Meaning:
The blue bend sinister is a representation of the Pega creek (Portuguese: ribeira), flowing alongside the border of the commune, and it is a canting element. The Roman swords are another canting element, alluding to the Roman commander Carinos with Carinhos being the people belonging to him. They also symbolise the old age of the settlement. The arrows are an attribute of St. Sebastian, the local patron saint.

Ribeira dos Carinhos was one of the 18 communes of Guarda Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 108 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9,09 km². The commune was incorporated into Jarmelo São Miguelin 2013.
