Coat of arms

Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a lion rampant Or armed and tongued Sable holding a 5-point star Argent by his fore paws, in central chief a dove Argent, armed and tongued Gules and nimbed Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "DOMINGUIZO".
The dove is symbolizing the Holy Spirit probably being the local patron saint.

Dominguizo Commune is one of the 21 communes of the Covilhã municipality (q.v.); it had 1119 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 5.0 km².
