Meaning:
The mound in this coat of arms is canting for the toponimycal phrase "da montanha", lit. "of (the) mountain". The crown is an attribute of St. Mary.

As announced, this one is one more of those not yet officialised: At the recently defunct HiperGlobal website, used to show for this CoA (with the most typical scroll, as always) an image only, with no accompanying text, no flag nor banner information, as usual, but also no blazon nor even a date for a preliminary establishment by the CHAAP — implying that
this coat of arms is completely unofficial.

Borba de Montanha is one of the ten communes of Celorico de Basto Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 1057 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 10,89 km².
