Shield Gules; scales Or, balanced on a sword flamant Argent hilted Or; issuant from base wavy Azure (!), charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, a two-arch bridge Argent masoned Sable in chief three nails Argent in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FROSSOS - BRAGA".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.

António Martins-Tuválkin reported a problem in 2017: a blue base wavy meets a red background. To solve the problem, which wasn´t done successfully, there are two versions of the flag in use:
1) one with coat of arms as described above (see on left flag image above),
2) one with colour beneath the arches turned from red to white (see on right flag image above).
