Coat of arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, in chief three flax blossoms Argent, ordered per fess, issuant from base a throughout bridge Or masoned Sable, having three arches. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "VILA COVA DE ALVA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Alva River.

Shield Or, a heraldic fountain, surrounded by an arch Sable masoned Or, flanked by an eradicated bean plant Vert blossomed Gules at dexter, and a branch of pine Vert with cones Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "ANCERIZ".
