It appears Tancanhuitz does not use a municipal flag.

image from the Municipal Council
The council informed me their coat of arms was adopted in spring of 1996, being created by the painter Fernando Domínguez from the Valley. It was adopted through a call for submissions, sent to all schools of the Municipality under Municipal President Armando Ocaña Sánchez (1995-1997). Originally, the design approved was by the Ángel M. Loyde Primary School, but the final creation was entrusted to Fernando Domínguez. Description from the council:
The shield has in its center 16 ironworks which signify the 16 most important communities [in its border; which itself has rolled edges]. In the center a Tének woman appears and a male [in form of] eagle which signifies the union of two cultures of the maternal tongues. In the center, the church [of Saint Michael the Archangel] as an architectonic monument. In the upper-right part, the flyers of the community of Tamaletóm, which signifies the dance of the hawk. In the center, a sugar mill, which serves to grind sugarcane, similarly three weights of piloncillo, product of grinding sugarcane. In the left side, a cluster of oranges and corn, product of the region [agriculture]. To the center, the arroyo which travels through the town, to the coastline of the arroyo yellow flowers or flowers of love. [And at the bottom, in a rectangle "TANCANHUITIZ DE SANTOS" "SAN LUIS POTOSI". A rose shape, probably for direction, is found under.
