Flag

A desk flag is used at some government offices, but I can't find one in a large size. The flag of Corregidora, probably used unofficially (as it is not really seen with the government in public) depicts the coat of arms on a white background.

Coat of Arms

The current version of the coat of arms was adopted in 2018, being designed by a graphic design firm. Notably, the shape of the shield is changed; the "Corregidora" faces to the right; the upper-left section has all three elements depicted separately; the upper-right section depicts a profile view of a factory and church next to each other; and the lower section makes the pyramid appear larger and the scenery is placed to the right. The ribbon is placed facing upwards.

The coat of arms of Corregidora was designed by Prof. Alfonso Ramírez García, being adopted through a contest held by the Municipal Council in 1988. Description as provided by the council:

The coat of arms is split with a triangle at the bottom. In the first section the municipal contour is observed in which three silhouettes of agricultural products of the region like corn, peach, and avocado. In the second section, it contains in its upper part industry and under it the architectural complex of the Sanctuary of the Virgen de El Pueblito. In the lower section it contains a drawing of the Pyramid El Cerrito, ceremonial center of the original populators, crowned by a construction known as El Fortín. In its center, the silhouette of the Immaculate Conception of Mary under her advocation of El Pueblito is observed...in the lower part; to its right side, the silhouette of the Child Jesus is seen. Also, various cacti are viewed disseminated in the image of the Gran Cué [pyramid]. The blazon is framed by two tricolor flags hanging from their respective poles; to the center of both pennants, presented are, in ascending form, the silhouette of a laurel wreath. It is crested by a scallop shell in which a setting sun has been placed, and over this profile, facing to the dexter side is doña María Josefa Ortiz Téllez Girón [known as the "Corregidora", the reason for the municipal name; she was the corregidor in Querétaro City and Insurgent] and from behind the sun is observed, and under this image, in chief highlighted, it reads "Corregidora". The shield ends with a ribbon placed in the lower part of the same in form of a semicircle with the following legend: "Con destino al progreso"... [Destined For Progress.]

1898 Coat of Arms

image from the Municipal Council

Although not really a coat of arms, the council used a symbol almost like a municipal coat of arms; instead of being the typical seal with the National Coat of Arms and name over it, it had three separate ribbons reading "PRESIDENCIA MUNICIPAL", "VILLA DE STA. MARIA DEL PUEBLITO", and "E. DE QUERÉTARO". In between the top and middle is a triangle; the bottom ribbon has decoration like a chandelier. Above the top ribbon, an image of a sun is placed as well as the National Coat of Arms placed on a stand.
