The Naminara Republic is a micronation created in 2006 as a culturally-focused tourism booster for the privately-owned island of Nami, which is situated in the Han River, in the South Korean city of Chuncheon.
With 1.5 million visitors annually, Naminara is undoubtedly the world's most popular micronation.
In addition to an impressive array of physical infrastructure Naminara possesses stamps, coins, passports, telephone cards and - yes - a national flag.
