The university flag has white background with a dark green emblem and two dark green vertical stripes on both sides.
The university emblem features a kanji 杜"forest" at its center, surrounded by two key words: hospitality and amenity. The emblem of the University of Miyagi expresses the basic philosophy of the university, which aims to cultivate intellect and sensibility with a rich humanity.
