Toki Yorinori of Okuwa Castle was expelled from the country, and the Mino Province was acquired. Dosan formed bedchamber relationships with Oda in Owari, Asai in Omi, and Miki in Hida, and did not adopt a policy of foreign expansion through military power, but was defeated in a battle with his eldest son Yoshinaga in 1556. The war banner has white background with two standing waves in black. It is said that Dosan himself invented the design of the standing waves, comparing the ebb and flow of the tide to the tactics of warfare.
