The city emblem was adopted on Mar 1st 2005 by Ordinance No 3 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a green and a pink three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized m of mima. The blue color stands for Yoshino River and a blue sky, the green color for an expanding forests, the pink color for the sun. The combination of the sun and the forest symboloze a man, the combination of the sky and the fresh stream do a harmony in the people, the culture and the nature. It represents an image of the calm and comfortable city.
