The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No 111. The white flag has a green, a blue and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a combination of a stylized hiragana よ Yo and Y. The green color stands for a countryside, the blue color for the fresh streams and the orange color for the harvests. It represents an image of the garden city which has fresh and fine people, an abundant nature, a rich heart and dreams.
The flag proportion is 7:10. The height of the emblem is 96/140 the height of the flag height.
