Thakur Shaitan Singh, son of the Thakur of Dhanoli, entered into the service of the Maharaja of Idar State, and was later granted the Thikana of Jamla (later renamed Daulatgarh in honour of the Maharaja) after saving the Maharaja from a pouncing leopard barehanded and wrestling it until guards arrived and it was shot. Jamla is a First-Class Thikana of Idar Princely State.
