The municipality of Breznički Hum (1,575 ihabitants, 557 in the village of Breznički Hum) is located in the southern end of Varaždin County, on the main road leading from Zagreb to Varaždin (more generally, on the road Rijeka-Zagreb-Budapest-Minsk).
In the 1992 Regulation, the name of the municipality was given as "Hum Breznički", but in 1997 it was reverted.

Flag of Breznički Hum

The symbols of Breznički Hum (the ceremonial flag excepted) are prescribed by Decision Odluka o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave Općine Breznički Hum, adopted on 20 December 2001 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 21 December 2001 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 29.
Article 5 of the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Breznički Hum, adopted on 7 February 2006 and published on 8 February 2006 in Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 3, includes the full description of the coat of arms and the flag. This is repeated in the Statutes Statut Općine Breznički Hum, adopted on 10 July 2009 and published on 11 August 2009 in Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 27, and in the current Statutes Statut Općine Breznički Hum, adopted on 18 March 2013 and published on 19 March 2013 in Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 10 (text).

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company from Rijeka.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, dark blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
The municipality appears to have recently purchased a light blue flags without the outline around the coat of arms (photo, photo).

The coat of arms of Breznički Hum is "Azure a water pump argent and a post horn or in chief".
I think that the post horn may refer to the importance of the place for traffic.

While the flag was designed by Heraldic Art, it was produced by another company - exhibiting some difference is style compared with ceremonial flags produced by Heraldic Art.
