The coat of arms is "Azure a knight on a horse (St. George) piercing a dragon all or".
M. Crnčević explains that the central authorities approved the coat of arms, even if there are already numerous municipalities and towns in Croatia picturing St. George on their arms, because in the municipal archives is preserved a dry seal with the saint's image, dating from the time of the Napoleonic rule in Sućuraj.
