Presentation of Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard

The municipality of Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard (1,302 inhabitants in 2018; 1,462 ha) is located on the Atlantic coast of Vendée.
Saint-Vincxznt-en-Jard was the last residence of Georges Clémenceau (1841-1929), head of the French government during World War I and signatory of the Treaty of Versailles, who retired from political life in 1920. The painter Claude Monet (1840-1926), one of his closiest friends, created an "Impressionist garden" on the dune.

The flag of Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard (photo, 2016) is vertically divided blueish green / anis green with the municipal logo counter-colored. A white flag charged with the municipal logo (photo, 2014) is/was also used.
