A blue flag with the same emblem, surrounded by 12 yellow fleurs-de-lis, was used during the controversail consecration (not recognized by the Holy See) of the church of Saint-Martin-des-Gaules in Noisy by traditionalists on 11 November 1997.

Traditionalists who recognize the French Tricolore flag (including Orleanist royalists) usethis flag charged with the Sacred Heart of Vendée. Also used as a car sticker and sometimes charged with mottos in golden letters, the flag is often seen in general Catholic events (such as visits of the Pope).

Three flags used by Breton traditionalists have been reported:
- a white flag with a black centred cross and a red Sacred Heart in each quarter;
- a white field with a black centred cross, eleven ermine spots (3 + 4 + 3) in the first and fourth quarters, and a red Sacred Heart in the two other quarters;
- a Gwenn-ha-Du with a red Sacred Heart at fly.
