Symbols of Villardondiego

The flag and arms of Villardondiego are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 18 April 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 2 May 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 21 May 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 97, pp. 7,826-7,827 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of a white cross throughout of 1/5 [of the flag's hoist] cantonned with seven vertical stripes, four blue and three yellow in turn, the blue stripes twice larger than the yellow stripes.
Coat of arms: Azure semy of wheat spikes or a chapel argent masoned sable al umbre. [The shield surmounted with a] Royal crown closed.
