The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular panel, in proportions 2:3, made of three equal vertical stripes, the extreme yellow and the central green. The green stripe charged with the municipal coat of arms, in width 60% of the flag's width.

The coat of arms of Villanueva de Argecilla is prescribed by an Order issued on 28 October 2010 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 11 November 2010 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 218, p. 52,201 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Or a fountain proper ensigned with a holly oak of the same. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
