The municipality of Salorino (565 inhabitants in 2019; 15,765 ha) is located on the border with the Province of Badajoz, 60 km west of Cáceres and 30 km north-est of Valencia de Alcántara.

Flag of Salorino

The flag and arms of Salorino, adopted on 22 February 1991, 31 January and 29 May 1992 by the Municipal Council and validated on 27 November 1991 and 26 May 1992 by the Assessing Council of Honors and Distinctions of the Government of Extremadura, are prescribed by an Order issued on 4 June 1992 by the Government of Extremadura and published on 11 June 1992 in the official gazette of Extremadura, No. 46, pp. 1,350-1,351 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3. Composed of a white panel charged with a blue horizontal stripe, in width 1/8 of the flag's width and covering the sixth horizontal part. This part of the flag charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms.
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1a. Or a holly oak proper recently corked, 1b. Argent, a Cross of the Order of Alcántara vert, 2. Azure three waves argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
