The municipality of Castellanos de Zapardiel (95 inhabitants in 2018; 1,270 ha) is located 70 km north of Ávila.

Symbols of Castellanos de Zapardiel

The flag and arms of Castellanos de Zapardiel are prescribed by an Agreement adopted on 20 November 2018 by the Municipal Council, signed on 8 February 2019 by the Mayor and published on 19 February 2019 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 34, pp. 7,558-7,559 (text).
The symbols, which are supported by a memoir redacted by Andrés J. Nicolás-Minué Sánchez and were approved on 30 November 2018 by the Chronicler of Arms of Castilla y León, are described as follows:

Flag: Panel in proportions 1:1; width to length, vertically divided, the rectangle at hoist, crimson red, and the rectangle at fly, white. In the flag's center is set the municipal coat of arms. The width of the shield is 2/3 of the flag's width. (Panel's proportions according to Article 13 of Decree No. 105 issued in 9 May 1991 by the Government of Castilla y León).
Coat of arms: Spanish shield, oblong with rounded-off base. Or a chevron azure (blue) charged with a frog argent in chief two castles gules (red) in base a tower vert (green).
