Flag

The flag of Colta is of blood color, meaning the valiance and pugnacity of the people of Colta in the different episodes of their history. In the center of the flag is placed a white circle charged with a cornucopia and the word "COLTA", meaning the natural resources. Around the circle are six stars representing the parishes that compose the canton: Cajabamba and Cicalpa, forming together Villa La Unión, the canton's capital; Santiago de Quito; Columbe; Juan de Velasco (Pangor); Cañi.
